The Wall's Club, Barnwood in Gloucester has been running for over 40 years, as a sports and social club for Unilever's ice cream factory workforce. Today it continues to fulfill this role but also offers membership to other individuals and groups and operates as the hub of local social life. With a large hall which caters for over 300 people, weddings and corporate entertainment are a regular feature of the club's calendar and the building is used by skittles teams, indoor bowls, bingo and Ce Roc and Line dancing groups. The Wall's Club has recently purchased an Espresso Essential coffee machine and already the skittles team are very keen on the hot chocolate drinks that it produces! Lynne Curtis helped choose the machine and says:
"We chose the machine because of the taste of the coffees and the stylish quality of the machine."
She anticipates plenty of work for the coffee machine as the club caters for over 40 people every evening and hosts weddings every weekend.
Vic is manager of a successful town centre filling station in the market town of St Neot's, Cambridgeshire and when he decided it was time to replace their aging coffee machine, he came across the Espresso Essential website and decided to make further inquiries. They wanted a coffee machine that could be put in his shop and which would be easy for customers to operate, easy to clean and become a profitable side line to the business.
A year later, Vic says,
"Our customers keep coming back for more. The machine pays its way and more. We find the cafe latte is most popular with the Mums and Dads and the hot chocolate is a particular favourite with the children and our regular taxi drivers! We looked at Cafe Nation and Nescafe machines but decided we needed something where you just push a button and get great coffee."
